The Latin Alternative

This week we bring you our inaugural survey of Colombia's Latin Alternative scene, both past and present. From the electro-cumbia grooves of Bomba Estereo and Monareta to old school tropical legends Fruko y Sus Tesos and Grupo Niche, we've got the best of Colombian rock/electronica/funk/tropical music all here in this special episode.

Uruguay is a country of just 3 million people, but seemingly has one million artists. Our co-host Josh Norek recently visited Uruguay to spotlight its thriving indie rock, electronic and hip-hop scenes. Artists interviewed in this episode include Sante Les Amis, Campo, Rikki Musso of Cuarteto de Nos, and MC Santi Mostaffa.
